Bayside Cafe Sandestin – Scenic Bayfront Dining with Fresh, Delicious Breakfast and Casual Meals

I love this hidden gem! We always choose to sit outdoors with a view of the bay. The food presentation is as beautiful as it is delicious!

This location has had different restaurants on and off for the past 30 years and we have witnessed all of them. I think this new place will hold its own for casual dining in this area. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Fresh everything and everything was nicely presented and very delicious. They upgraded tables and chairs, both inside and out to a more pleasing look with much more comfort. Outside dining was great with wonderful views of the bay and surrounding area. The only negative was the starlings seemed to rest on empty tables that had food on them, a very small item which can be easily corrected. All in all, a great experience and well worth a return trip.

We ordered a takeout meal from Bayside Cafe’ SanDestin after a tiring drive. My husband had the ribeye special and I had the Sun-dried Grouper dinner. Both entrees were deliciousWe will definitely be back.

Teagan was an awesome server! She was great with our son, making him feel like the king of the crop! Excellent service and food was fantastic. We had the veggie wrap that had edamame, hummus, greens and some sort of vinaigrette. I added grilled shrimp to it. Perfect! Our son had a side Mac n cheese and the kids pasta which had red sauce and ground beef. He loved it and he’s very picky so we were nervous. He now said he wants to eat there all the time! Music to our ears. My husband had a burger and we tried the kids purple frozen drink and a mocktail with strawberry, mint and ginger beer. Very clean and polite staff. Highly recommend!

One of the standout moments of our visit was the exceptional care taken to accommodate gluten-free needs. Chef Blake Vanzant went above and beyond; not only preparing a custom gluten-free breakfast for us, but taking the time to explain the ingredients and ensure everything was safe, fresh, and delicious. From dedicated prep areas to thoughtful substitutions, the attention to detail was impressive and incredibly reassuring. It's rare to find a restaurant that treats dietary needs with this level of care and professionalism. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was also outstanding. There was a wide selection including fresh fruit, pastries, sausages, potatoes, and made-to-order waffles, pancakes, and omelets—all served hot and made with quality ingredients. Even with our dietary restrictions, we never felt limited or left out. Bayside Cafe is the perfect way to start your day—whether you're staying at the resort or just visiting. With delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and a team that truly cares, it’s a breakfast experience worth returning to.

This is the most phenomenal experience in dining we have had by far in Destin., we actually requested to meet with the chef (Blake), we’re astonished with his attention to detail!
